Lily’s Success!

A lovely success story to start off the new academic year which also celebrates the benefits of coeducation.

Here is Lily Barker. She joined Gayhurst school in the first year they began admitting girls into Nursery and Reception. 13 years ago!

Lily joined the newly opened Nursery class, the first year Gayhurst starting taking children from 3 years of age.

Lily’s brother William is two years younger and so it made perfect sense for this sister and brother to be together at a coeducational school.

Having passed her 11+ and gaining a place at Dr Challoner’s High School, Lily left Gayhurst at the end of Year 6.

Bringing Lily’s story right up to date. She has just joined the 6th Form at Dr Challoner’s Grammar School having achieved Grade 9 in 10 GCSE subjects and a double starred BTEC in the summer – what an achievement!

Lily is reunited at school with William once again.
