A cracker of a Christmas so far…

Monday’s ‘snow day’ did not spoil our Junior School’s Christmas Treat Afternoon.  Fortunately the Panto was moved to Tuesday and Santa was also available (at short notice!) to make a detour to Gayhurst in the afternoon.  The Junior School children had a marvellous time with entertainment and presents and all with the added bonus of snow!

Today the year 2 staff and children headed off to Edith Bell House to entertain the residents with Christmas songs from around the world.

With Mrs Terrar accompanying them on the keyboard, our Year 2 children performed their song selection for the ladies and gentleman who enjoyed traditional Christmas carols along with a German version of ‘Silent Night’ and the Australian ‘Jingle Bells’.  Everyone sang along to ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’ and happily posed for photographs at the end of the mini-concert.

Back at school the whole school are enjoying their Christmas Jumper Day and all are looking forward to their lunch later on.
