Lyla K, in Year 4, who is a big, big fan of Blue Peter recently did brilliantly in a nationwide Blue Peter competition. The competition was called Lights. Camera. Action and required entrants to design and storyboard a Christmas Tree scene featuring the pop band New Hope Club. Lyla came up with a very original storyboard idea and in her application she described in a simple way how she would do lighting and the camera angles to communicate the story.
While she wasn’t the final winner, she was one of only two runners up and she was the overall winner in the aged 6-8 aged category. The winner and the 2 runners up including Lyla will be announced on Blue Peter this week (Thursday 22nd November) and her photo will be shown.
For her prize, Lyla will attend the New Hope Club music video shoot (on 25th November) to see how music videos are created and to meet New Hope Club.
She will also receive an orange Blue Peter badge to go with the other 4 she has. She is delighted especially since there were thousands of entries and she is such a fan of the programme.
Well done Lyla!
