British Values

The Junior School children have been working together to learn about British Values, and how they can use these important guidelines each playtime.

There is a clear link between British Values and our Golden Rules.

The children have learnt that when they follow the Golden Rules, this links with the concept of The Rule of Law.   Also that when they work as a team to organise a game, they are listening to each other, and being fair. This is an early introduction to Democracy.

When the girls and boys take it turns and share their toys, they are demonstrating Mutual Respect.

They listen to each other, demonstrating tolerance of our different beliefs and approaches to play.

The Year 2 girls and boys have the additional responsibility of looking after property by preparing our outdoor toys for play each day, and packing them away. This is a very important role, enabling the children to demonstrate both kindness and helpfulness!
