Different Mediums of Art

This term Year 2 are continuing clay skills. They have already explored impressions in clay and making pinch and coil pots.  In this final stage, the children are learning to model and mould the clay using their hands and a variety of tools.  In the latest lesson they had to recreate the shape, textures and details of a pepper.  They worked confidently with clay and produced some very life-like peppers.

Meanwhile, Year 3 have been learning about textiles and the different raw materials from which they originate.  They have made their own French bobbin and are processing through some challenges which include fixing their own mistakes and changing their wools independently to create a colour pattern.  If they have time they will transform their knitting into a wearable product.
