Ice Art

The children in RW had been monitoring the forecasts for the morning temperatures last week, as they had been planning to create some “ice art” as soon as the temperatures were due to fall below zero. They had been learning about “Lands of Ice and Snow” all week and finally on Friday we had some ice of our own! The boys and girls had collected some treasures from nature, in anticipation of a freeze, and had spent time cutting and arranging the pieces in different shaped pots. Finally some water was added and the works of art were set outside overnight.

The results were beautiful!
