Lest We Forget

We wish to thank Major General Inshaw and Colonel Carmichael for attending our Remembrance Service this morning.

The whole school assembled together to think of our brave soldiers from both World Wars and more recent conflicts. Mr Reeves along with Robbie B and Frankie E played the Last Post beautifully then Colonel Carmichael laid a wreath at the foot of our ‘Tommy’.

Our Head Boy and Head Girl, Harry and Georgina, read ‘In Flanders Fields’ which was followed by Major General Inshaw speaking to the children about how important it is to remember those who fought for us in the past and also to support families now who have lost a soldier in the fight against terrorism.

The boys and girls were very respectful and listened carefully during the service and wore their poppies with pride.
