The wonders of winter

Over the course of this term the children in RS have been keeping a very close eye on the changes that have been occurring in the school’s grounds.

Particular attention has been given to a rather beautiful old tree that has gradually been losing its leaves as the cold weather draws in.

Mrs Stanhope’s class made a final visit of the year to the tree this afternoon.  As they set off they first noticed that the clouds were moving really quickly across the sky because it was so windy and when they got to their tree all the leaves had fallen!  The boys and girls talked about the weather and the signs that show them that it is winter.  They were all excited to think that maybe snow is on the way!
