Walking Home for Christmas

Children from year 1 to year 6 took part in ‘Walking Home For Christmas’ on the final day of term.

This was a fundraising event for the charity ‘Walking with the Wounded’.  Across the country people are ‘Walking Home for Christmas’ to help raise money for this charity that has been adopted by the Gayhurst as the charity of the year.

The children walked from Gayhurst School to The Jolly Farmer where they were collected by their parents.  Well done to everyone who took part.

Walking with the Wounded supports men and women who are leaving the military and, for various reasons, struggle with the transition back to ‘normal’ life.

Please keep you eye on other charitable news stories which will contain updates of how much we have raised for them so far!
