Waste not!
There was ‘something in the air’ as our families arrived at school today. An aroma of lavender greeted our parents and pupils as they unexpectedly stepped into a foyer of calm this morning. The Eco Club girls land boys were selling Lavender bags to raise funds for the ‘WasteShark’ project.
Gayhurst lavender, which had spent the summer attracting numerous assorted wildlife and a great number of bees, had been dried and used to fill little muslin bags. The little scented sacks were a great hit and recycling at its finest.
