Colours of Nature – Photography Competition
And the results are in…
We had some truly wonderful photography sent in as children from Reception to Year 6 took part in this competition. It was wonderful to see how they each interpreted the theme ‘Colours of Nature’.
Paul Upward, who has been taking pictures of our children for the last 9 years, was our judge and he commented on each of the winning images. Here are Paul’s winners…
Toby Hettige RB. “I am very impressed by the composition, with all 6 mushrooms arranged nicely in the photograph. A very striking photo. Well done.”
Tristan Pike 1R. “A great sunrise/sunset. Lovely vivid colours and a great use of foreground bushes to give the photograph a sense of depth.”
Jacob Fletcher 2K. “An interestingly composed photograph. A lovely soft light with the snowdrops in perfect focus.”
Emily Warde 3G. “Clearly a lot of thought has gone into the composition of this photograph. I love the mood you have created.”
Sofia Lioveri 4K. “It is lovely that you have filled the frame with the subject. A very eye catching shot. it makes you wonder what it is thinking.”
Maxwell Ives 5K. “A beautifully taken photograph. A great location. I like the way the shaded foreground leads your eye to the mountains in the distance.”
Roshan Fernandes 6S. “I love the abstract feel of this image. The reflection is great and all 3 fish are positioned nicely giving a very balanced composition.”
Selected images from Years 3 to 6 have been sent off to the Rotary Club to be submitted in to the competition they are running. We will let you know of those results as soon as we have them.
