Gayhurst School Site Development
A year long project to create a new Sports Hall and 200 seat Auditorium
Works began on our exciting development in January 2024
Our ambitious project will see the Gibbs Hall and surrounding buildings razed to the ground and the building of a new Sports Hall, Theatre and associated surrounding rooms. The development will provide our pupils with modern facilities for both sport and drama and a fantastic facility to welcome our parents and other stakeholders to attend performances and other events.
Monday 12th February
The deconstruction is complete. All three buildings were flattened, materials sorted and removed and the ground prepared for the foundations.
This morning we held an official ‘Groundbreaking’ ceremony where our Headmaster, Mr Gareth Davies, turned over the first ‘sod’ of the build.
