Latest news from 2M

2M have been very busy learning about desert life. They have learned how nomads in the Sahara live and dress. Alex W dressed in flowing robes and was able to adopt a role play character and explain the benefits of his outfit for desert life.
In art lessons the children have blended colours to make a desert sunset and made silhouettes of desert features.

The boys and girls have also been studying aspects of sculpture and this has culminated in them producing some of their own clay sculptures. They enjoyed manipulating the clay into shapes and used a variety of tools to make marks. They then painted their sculptures and so there is now a lovely display of snuffling hedgehogs and a fantasy sea scene in our classroom!
