Science Quiz

Eight scientists travelled up to the IMAX Theatre in the Science Museum in London on Wednesday to take part in the National Science Quiz.  It was an incredible venue with a massive screen.  Thirty seven teams took part in the heat.  Our boys and girls did incredibly well.  After ten questions, Team R was in second place and Team C not far behind in eleventh place but the scores were very close – only 45 points separated the two Gayhurst Teams at this stage.  After twenty questions, Team R was in second place and Team C only 15 points behind.  It was still incredibly close after 30 questions with Team R in 5th place and Team C only 40 points behind.  At the end of the quiz, after 40 questions, Team R came 9th with a score of 1845 and Team C came 16th with a score of 1715.  The winning team scored 2125 so it was very close.

Well done to all the children who took part – Team R:  James R, Chenna, Monty and Noah and Team C: James C, Alice, Dhruv and Oliver.  Thank you to all the parents who came to support the teams and a special thank you to the parent helpers who helped to get us all through London safely.
