The children in Reception continue to practise reading ‘tricky words’ – those words that cannot be blended such as ‘the’ or ‘was’.
As part of their learning they set off on a treasure hunt around the classroom to find these tricky words! As they located each word, they recorded it on a whiteboard.
This was a super opportunity for the children to ‘mark make’ in a different way! Each opportunity to make marks builds confidence in the children and develops their resilience to ‘have a try’.
